Synopsis

Nagpur city lies precisely at the center of the country with the Zero Mile marker indicating the geographical center of India. It is situated in between latitude 21.1458o N longitude 79.0882oE. The city is rich in water sources in the form of lakes and there are 11 lakes in the city in different location. Ambazari lake is situated near the southwest border of the city and it is the largest lake among 11 lakes in the city. The lake was made by Raja Bhosale in 1870 and is spread over 60 acres. The study area, Ambazari lake premises, i.e., nearby area of the lake is provided with diverse vegetation. The floristic survey was conducted from 2017 to 2024 for angiosperms in different seasons. More than 370 angiosperms were collected of which 307 plant species found from dicot families are included in the present paper.
