Writing this book, “First Aid,” has been a profoundly rewarding journey, and it brings me immense pride to finally share it with you. It is designed with the goal of imparting essential first aid knowledge to students, particularly those pursuing diploma courses in engineering. The value of basic firstaid skills cannot be overstated. In life’s most critical moments, knowing how to re spond effectively can save lives and prevent complications. This book aims to empower readers with practical, accessible, and ac tionable information that equips them to take swift action in emer gencies. This book covers a wide spectrum of topics, starting with the ba sics of first aid, emphasizing its importance, and introducing the roles and responsibilities of a first aider. It progresses into critical areas like handling burns, fractures, wounds, and poisoning, as well as providing essential knowledge on responding to emergen cies involving foreign objects in the body, CPR techniques, and other lifesaving measures. The content in this book is carefully structured to ensure it is readerfriendly and easily applicable in real life scenarios.
